Fun Days Off
These past few days have been so great. I've been working from home on some video projects, relaxing some, and just enjoying the beautiful weather. As I type this I'm sitting at my desk next to my large window, which is open and the cool outside air is blowing in. Since I got back in town from last weekend's show I haven't even turned the air on, i've just left my windows open and it has been wonderful, I love the smell of the fresh air. Anyway, I sure hope it stays like this for a little while, this is the kind of weather that makes me love Tennessee (we didn't really get this in Texas). Although, I must say, I am very excited about the cold weather that will be coming soon. This will be my first winter in my new apartment, and I can't wait to use the fireplace! I was so pumped up about it the other day that I already bought some fire starter stuff from Wal-mart so that I'll be prepared when the time comes. Oh yeah!, it'll be cool.
On Monday night Micah came over and we grilled up some steaks on the grill out behing my apartment. That was fun times, once again, perfect weather for such activities. I'm thinking I should try it again sometime soon before the weather turns and it's too cold.
So today I've been talking online to a lot of people who I haven't seen or spoken with recently, it's weird how when you get out of school it is so easy to lose touch with people you once knew. So, if you are someone like that, you should IM me or something, that would be cool. Yeah.
OK, well that's all for now.
Until next time..

To clap or not to clap?…Is it worth it?
Yesterday while completing my daily ritual of browsing the days news feeds, I stumbled accross on article on The Tennessean's website that evoked in me such a broad range of emotinos that I just had to write something about it.
Churchgoers disagree on clapping in worship
My first reaction was to laugh at the utter absurdity of the things Christian's will get all up in a fit about. Then I started to get some of that good ol' righteous indignation about how these people were wasting time, church resources, and publicity on something so stupid (growing up as a Baptist, I've gotten really good at the righteous indignation thing). Then, at last, after I decided to come down off my pedestal of judgement, I just found myself saddened by how Satan has been able to so successfully manipulate the good people of the body of Christ into focusing on such trivial matters and losing sight of what is really important.
Why is it that Christians are so willing to publicly criticize fellow believers over things that are so pointless? I'm not saying that there isn't a right or wrong side to the argument, but there are some arguments that aren't worth the winning. This article is just another sign to all the non-Christians in Nashville that the Church has become completely disassociated from the culture and is no longer relevant to their lives.
I could go on longer, but it's probably wise that I don't. I just wanted to say that I think when we as Christians see stuff like this going on, it should impress on us why it is so important that we show people around us the unconditional love of Christ. That's what they are longing for, it's what they need, they don't care if we clap or not.
